Welcome back to another school year! We hope you have had a restful and relaxing summer break. We are looking forward to seeing all grade 1 – 5 students this Tuesday, September 4 at 8:03 am. We have our Welcome Back assembly at 9:00 and family are welcome to attend. A reminder that school will be dismissed at 11:00 am on this day and the buses will run 3 hours early. We welcome to AES our Kindergarten students beginning Wednesday, September 5. If you are the parent or guardian of a Kindergarten student, please bring your children to the gym for 8:15, students will leave with their teachers and Ms. Langston will facilitate a Kindergarten parent survey in the lab to be followed by a PAC meet and greet session in the gym.
The first day of school is an exciting day for students, parents and staff and we want the year to get off to a great start. At this point, we do not have our classes finalized for this school year. On the first day of school, students will be returning to their classroom from the previous year. Students will line up out front of the school when the welcoming bell goes and staff will lead students to their last year classroom. New students to AES will meet in the library and our LRT teacher, Mrs. Manduca will bring them to their classes. We hope to have all classes finalized on Tuesday, September 4 and all students in their 2018- 2019 classes on Wednesday, September 5.
